As we reflect on the incredible journey our charity has embarked on since 1986, we are immensely grateful for the unwavering support we have received from dedicated volunteers, compassionate donors, and generous sponsors.

Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones, touching countless lives and making a positive impact on our communities.

As we stand on the shoulders of this collective effort, we look toward the future with a new vision—one that revolves around the celebration of water and its indispensable role in our daily lives. Our upcoming project, the International Water Awareness Centre, [IWAC] will serve as a hub where the importance of water is not only acknowledged but celebrated in all its facets.

Water, a fundamental need for humans and the cornerstone of life for all species, is intricately woven into the fabric of our existence. It nurtures our bodies, fuels our industries, and sustains ecosystems around the globe. The exhibitions at IWAC will offer an expansive exploration of various water-related topics, highlighting the interconnectedness of water with our health, environment, and daily activities.

However, as we embark on this ambitious venture, we find ourselves in need of support once again. To turn our vision into reality and ensure IWAC becomes a thriving space for education and awareness, we require funding. Your continued generosity has been the bedrock of our success, and we are reaching out to you once more to help us secure the financial backing needed for this crucial initiative.

Our Projects ‘in the pipeline’ include:

1. The Water Cycle Experience:
   • Expanding our ‘long drawing’ schools project, building an immersive exhibition that takes visitors on a journey through the water cycle using advanced technology to simulate the different stages of the cycle, providing an interactive, enjoyable and educational experience.
   • Funding can support the development and implementation of advanced simulation technology, interactive displays, and educational materials to create an immersive water cycle exhibit.
2. Living Collections:
   • Develop a sustainable aquaponics system at our Field Centre to demonstrate the interconnectedness of aquatic life and to promote a blue-green circular economy. This living exhibit also showcases how waste from one organism becomes a resource for another.
   • Funding can be allocated to establish and maintain a sustainable aquaponics system, including the necessary infrastructure, equipment, and educational materials for visitors.
3. Mobile Outreach Program:
   • Building a mobile exhibition unit to travel to schools, fairs, community events, and festivals, spreading the message of water conservation to a broader audience.
   • Funding can either help transform a vehicle into a mobile exhibition unit or design/build a purpose made unit then equip it with multimedia resources and cover operational traveling costs.
4. Water Innovation Hub:
   • Establish a dedicated studio space for broadcasting talks and innovation sessions. These sessions to be in collaboration with local schools,  businesses, organisations and universities, hosting programs aimed to encourage viewers to explore sustainable solutions for water-related challenges.
   • Funding can support the setup of a broadcasting studio space, provide resources for collaborative projects, and facilitate partnerships with educational institutions for water innovation programs.
5. Film and Documentary Series:
   • Develop a collection, online and off,  of high-quality documentaries and educational videos focusing on water conservation, pollution prevention, and the importance of sustainable water practices.
   • Funding can be directed towards high-quality production equipment, hiring professionals for filming and editing, and promoting the series to reach a global audience.
6. Artist-in-Residence Program:
   • Invite artists to create water-themed installations and artworks, that are interactive through apps like bridge.artivive.com and Bloomberg Connect, which are aimed to enhances the aesthetic appeal of virtual and real space but also provide a unique way to experience the water-related issues.
   • Funding can cover artist stipends, materials, and installations, cloud hosting and the promotion of each artworks water-related issues.
7. Blue-Green Circular Economy Symposium:
   • Organize an annual symposium that brings together experts, thought leaders, and the community to discuss and explore innovative ideas for creating a blue-green circular economy.
   • Funding can support guest speakers, workshops, and educational materials for participants
8. Community Food Garden and Water Conservation Workshops:
   • Develop a touring exhibition, showcasing water-efficient food growing techniques. Host workshops and demonstrations for communities, encouraging responsible water use in both domestic and farm food production.
   • Funding can be used to establish and maintain the sustainable garden displays, conduct workshops, and provide educational resources to encourage responsible water use when growing food.
9. Film Festival:
   • Host an annual film festival focused on water-related themes. This festival can feature screenings of documentaries, short films, and student projects, fostering a sense of community engagement and water awareness.
   • Funding can support the organization of the festival, cover screening costs, provide awards for participants, and promote the event to attract both visitors and a diverse range of submissions.

These projects not only serve as a living classroom for sustainable practices but also contribute to ongoing research in water conservation. By nurturing a community of volunteers and videographers, we are sowing the seeds for a future where water is cherished, conserved, and celebrated.
