IWAC (International Water Awareness Centre) Revenue Streams

The IWAC business model is based on a mix of revenue streams, including:
Project-based Revenue
IWAC’s ‘Project-based Revenue’ streams involve direct or indirect funding from sponsors, patrons, backers, commissioners, and other entities that enlist IWAC’s input for specific projects or initiatives. This revenue source being common in universities and research institutions, where external organizations provide backing for research collaborations or donate funds for specific projects.
Exchange Network
IWAC’s ‘Exchange Network’ is a key revenue source based on the exchange of goods or services. It functions like an ‘exchange economy’ or ‘exchange network,’ where stakeholders and customers collaborate in a mutually beneficial relationship. This approach not only helps stakeholders obtain goods or services but also contributes to the broader IWAC mission.
Water-Footprint-based Products and Services
IWAC offers a range of products and services that have been designed and optimized to minimize their water consumption, or ‘water-footprint.’ These offerings prioritize sustainability and efficiency, aligning with IWAC’s commitment to reducing environmental impact.
Educational Water-Related Merchandise.
This comprehensive approach aims to generate the necessary funds to support the growth and usefulness of IWAC while promoting environmental conservation and education.
E=mc² based
“The IWAC business model has been designed to promote a global shift towards utilizing the world’s material assets in a sustainable manner, enabling them to be perpetually recycled. Through this intentional design, the ‘energy footprint’ of a new product or service is taken into account when determining its cost, factoring in the energy consumed during its production. For existing products and services, the ‘energy footprint’ of reintegrating them back into the cycle is considered to understand their material value. This approach aims to create a circular economy that maximizes resource efficiency and reduces environmental impact.”
Water-Footprint based:
Each product carries its own WF rating (Water Footprint Rating) to explain how much water was was required in its manufacture.
Educational Revenue:
IWAC develops and sells engaging educational items that provide hands-on learning experiences focused on water conservation and science, aiming to enhance water understanding in all educational institutions.
Shop:
IWAC’s interactive showcase is an immersion into the world of water-related goods, an exhibition and marketplace rolled into one. Buyers can directly order showcased items using their code, bypassing traditional inventory-holding challenges. With this model, IWAC earns a referral commission without stocking items.
This approach enables a wider selection and provides more space for informative product descriptions, such as Fair Trade profiles, transforming the shopping experience into an educational and entertaining event.
Gone are the ‘out-of-stock’ signs; instead, visitors can purchase items that catch their interest and have them delivered directly to their homes, making the entire shopping experience more convenient and modern.”
Exclusive Collections:
” IWAC partners with cutting-edge designers to create exclusive, limited-edition collections inspired by water themes. Our collaborations offer stylish and sustainable solutions, from fashion and accessories to home decor and lifestyle products, all in line with the principles and goals of the blue-green economy.
These eco-conscious options are not just new choices for consumers; they are pivotal steps toward a future of sustainable products, packaging, manufacturing systems, and energy use.

WOW’s Publishing Work and IWAC’s Range of Media Products
In line with WOW’s mission to promote environmental awareness, our IWAC division will offer a variety of media products focused on water and environmental themes. From high-quality art prints and posters inspired by water to books (POD), animated ebooks, music, films, and online magazines (ezines), IWAC aims to educate and captivate audiences while providing sustainable, eco-friendly items.
IWAC Event Merchandising: Exclusive Keepsakes and Revenue Generation
IWAC’s event merchandising service offers two revenue-generating opportunities. First, we design and sell event-specific merchandise at our exhibitions, talks, and special events, creating a line of memorable keepsakes for attendees. Second, we provide a service to design merchandise for other water-related organisations for their events, thus generating additional revenue while broadening our reach within the broader water community.
Community Skill Share:
Introducing fees for water-themed workshops, DIY sessions, and crafting events using materials from the WOW Collections will generate additional revenue. While this may not cover all costs, these events offer excellent opportunities for networking and word-of-mouth promotion. They also foster a sense of community and engagement within the water-conscious community.”
Gamifying Water Education
In the future, a unique revenue model will be created by introducing a realistic digital environment called “Wowopolis.” This environment will be populated by marine avatar characters such as guides, shop assistants, designers, receptionists, a virtual cafe owner, and fellow visitors. They will provide real-time animation and interact with customers 24/7, offering an engaging, subscription-based experience that enhances learning through gamification.”
Collaborative Products:
The charity will collaborate with local artisans, crafters, and businesses from various craft domains that intersect with water themes, such as growing willow for basket making, creating pottery with fine sedimented clay, making turned wood bowls from trees with narrow and thin tree rings, producing watercolor paintings, crafting glass objects from silica and sand ground down by the ocean, knitting wool or cotton thread, and even creating needlework from plastic knitting needles. These collaborative projects will result in unique products and experiences that showcase the intersection of water themes with various crafts.
Monetizing Water Influence:
To drive revenue and support IWAC’s growth, we propose several more monetization strategies, including developing membership programs with transparent trade chains, corporate partnerships for projects aligned with awareness, sustainability, and revenue, donation campaigns, licensing opportunities for the use of WOW collections in commercial products, offering online courses and webinars with water-related content, event sponsorship packages for businesses, and creating unique water-themed corporate gifts.
We also highlight several specific products and items influenced by water worldwide, each presenting unique revenue streams
Membership Programs:
The IWAC membership cards serve multiple purposes:
a) as a souvenir following a visit
b) as a symbol of commitment to water awareness
c) as a potential link used for merchandise sale, generating revenue for the organization.
In addition, the membership cards foster a sense of belonging to a like-minded community, providing a sense of pride and connection to IWAC’s mission. The cards can also be used for loyalty programs as each card is uniquely coded.
Funding Future Endeavors: Partnering with Organizations and Corporations for Sustainable Growth
By forming strategic partnerships, both IWAC and partner organizations can access funding that might otherwise be unavailable to each group separately, thereby fostering a mutually beneficial environment that enhances growth and sustainability for both parties.
Donation Campaigns:
At IWAC, we will encourage donors to support individual projects and community-led initiatives through targeted giving. We’ll present projects individually for donors to vote as they donate, ensuring that funding is apportioned per community preferences and promoting transparency in our funding process.
Licensing Opportunities:
At IWAC, we recognize the untapped potential of our Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and have formulated specific plans to maximize their value. We aim to actively seek licensing opportunities to reach new audiences, foster strategic partnerships, and generate revenue streams for furthering our mission of water awareness and conservation. This not only fuels our growth but also amplifies our impact on this vital cause.
Online Courses and Webinars:
IWAC aims to offer educational content related to water topics via online courses and webinars, generating revenue. To generate additional revenue, IWAC plans to utilize cutting-edge AI learning platforms, providing AI-driven teachers and course content for enhanced learning engagement, accessibility, and user experience.
One potential opportunity for the creation of AI teachers for IWAC’s online courses and webinars is to work in partnership with companies that specialize in providing AI-powered teaching solutions, such as Character.ai (by OtherLab), ReplikaAI, SoulmateAI, Kajabi, Pandorabots, Cleverbot, Woebot, and others.
Revenue-Generating Sponsorship Packages:
1. Brand Ambassador Program: Partner with influencers who can act as advocates for IWAC and promote aligned brands. Collaborate with influencers to generate awareness and revenue, promoting cross-marketing opportunities that benefit both parties.
2. Cause-Related Marketing: Work with businesses to associate their brand with IWAC’s mission and cause, offering both companies exposure and revenue.
3. Corporate Social Responsibility Packages: Encourage businesses to invest in IWAC’s programming and initiatives, aligning both the business and IWAC.
Corporate Gifts:
We intend to explore the possibility of generating revenue through the creation of water-themed corporate gifts, with the primary aim of showcasing the versatility of water-related products while also spreading the organization’s message on water awareness and sustainability. The partnership opportunities we plan to explore will allow businesses to connect with their customers and strengthen their commitment to environmental causes
The above revenue-generation aims will provide a revenue stream to support the revenue-river needed to fund IWAC’s growth and usefulness to mankind.
