Welcome to the World of Water (WOW) Charity, where our mission is to promote water awareness, conservation, and sustainability.

Through innovative projects and community-driven initiatives, we work to deepen understanding of water’s critical role in sustaining life.

WOW (World of Water) began its journey in the early 20th century, establishing valuable collections that led to the creation of its first visitor centre in Wales and achieving charitable status in 1986.  Building on this foundation, WOW is now planning the International Water Awareness Corpus (IWAC), a global hub for water conservation knowledge, research, and collaboration aimed at promoting sustainable practices, engaging communities, and addressing pressing environmental issues like clean water scarcity and climate change.

IWAC’s mission is to increase global awareness of water conservation and sustainable use through educational outreach, research and innovation, and global collaboration

This IWAC initiative will feature a state-of-the-art interactive exhibition centre, a design hub for water-related technologies, a study centre for analyzing water footprints, and a digital production facility for global outreach, all managed initially by the WOW Charity before transitioning to its own management team

IWAC aims to serve as a comprehensive resource for water conservation efforts worldwide. By fostering educational programs, driving research, and building global partnerships, IWAC seeks to inspire and equip individuals and organizations to take action toward a sustainable water future
