Waterman Talkabouts – Inspiring Young Thinkers

Bring curiosity to life with Waterman Talkabouts  – lively, discussion-based workshops that spark cross-curricular learning through conversation, movement, imagination, and real-world enquiry. Developed by World of Water, these sessions connect science, geography, PSHE, and citizenship to help primary pupils explore water’s vital role in our planet and lives.

Each Talkabout needs just one facilitator, one theme, and an open space. Teachers provide the group and location – we supply the framework, prompts, and inspiration. Sessions work indoors, outdoors (as Walkabouts), or in assemblies, building communication skills like debate, description, drama, and persuasive writing.

Why Talkabouts work: They reveal pupils’ natural cross-subject awareness, foster empathy for waterlife, and empower action on sustainability – perfectly aligned with the National Curriculum’s focus on environmental responsibility.
