Author Bio

Augusta R. Goldin was born in New York City but spent her formative years on a farm in the Catskill Mountains near Ellenville, NY. She is a graduate of Hunter College, holds a Master of Science degree from the City University of New York, and earned an Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University.

An experienced educator, Mrs. Goldin has worked on the staffs of several educational publications and served as a school principal on Staten Island, NY. She is well known for her clear and engaging science writing for young readers. Among her many books are “Ducks Don’t Get Wet,” “The Bottom of the Sea” and “The Sunlit Sea”.
